1) Organic reach on Facebook continues to fall:
Research by Locowise, published this month, claim that Organic reach (i.e. non paid for) by business pages is continuing to wane with a decline of 6% in the last 3 months. It has been reported that less than one in 18 fans actually see organic posts from a brand's page.
2) 28% of orders for large fashion retailers come directly from search and social:
A recent study by Nosto has discovered that 34% of traffic, 28% of orders, and 26% of total order value for large online fashion retailers come from search and social sites, including Google and Facebook. Out of the four main social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter) Facebook and Instagram are shown to be the strongest drivers of traffic - both organic and paid.
3) The younger generation are picking up voice search far quicker than older audiences:
Research shows that 48% of all 16-24 regularly use voice search versus only 40% of 35-44 year olds and 20% of 55-64 year olds.
4) Snapchat is losing UK users for first time ever:
For the first time since its inception, the social network's user base will begin to decline in 2019 according to eMarketer's latest UK social usage forecast. Since its unpopular re-design in late 2017, users have been moving to Instagram, who have been including and improving upon many of the original features which made Snapchat so unique.
